At Risman Insurance Agencies, we believe that community care extends far beyond insurance policies. This Thanksgiving season, we’re proud to partner with Citizens Inn Haven from Hunger, a local nonprofit working tirelessly to fight food insecurity across the North Shore of Massachusetts.
Supporting Local Families This Thanksgiving
Citizens Inn has been helping families and individuals across Peabody, Salem, and Lynnfield for over 40 years. Their mission is simple but powerful — to provide food, housing, and hope for those in need. Through programs like the Pantry Program and Haven from Hunger, Citizens Inn serves more than 100 families every day, ensuring that no one in our community goes without a meal.
This year, Risman Insurance Agencies is hosting a Thanksgiving Food Drive to support their efforts. Every donation—big or small—makes a real difference for a local family.
How You Can Help
We’re collecting non-perishable food donations now through Thursday, November 21st. You can drop off or mail items to:

Suggested donation items include:
- Canned green beans, corn, yams, and potatoes
- Canned gravy and cranberry sauce
- Bag/boxed stuffing and cornbread mix
- Mac & cheese
- Soup or broth
- French fried onions
- Pie filling and pie crust mix
- Cooking oils
Each of these items helps create a warm, comforting meal for a family this holiday season — and reminds them that their community cares.
Volunteer Opportunities with Citizens Inn
If you’d like to take your impact even further, Citizens Inn is also seeking volunteers for their Pantry Program, which operates Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 10:30 AM–2:30 PM, and Thursdays from 12:30 PM–2:30 PM and 6 PM–7 PM. Volunteers help with truck unloading, stocking shelves, sorting donations, and assisting clients.
